N.B. this line up is for real. Made possible by Reality Shock label head Kris Kemist, who in celebration of his 30th Birthday, has called in every favor to bring the biggest reggae line up possible to Brixton.
What better way to celebrate Kemist’s birthday than a stage show of epic proportions, topped by UK legend TIPPA IRIE. Never before has the entire Reality Shock family descended on a single venue, with 2 live bands, over 25 artists & 6 soundsystems spread over 2 stages.
Reality Shock Roll Call is set to be an historic night for UK reggae music.
The Reality Shock story is a good one. It’s the label responsible for the likes of SOLO BANTON, DEADLY HUNTA & SPENG BOND (001) to name a few. Founded by Kemist who started producing at an early age, the label has grown from a dream in Reading to artists selling out shows across Europe & as far away as Mexico, Russia, New Zealand & Japan
Not to forget that Kemist has teamed up with old friends and party starters Straycats Productions, who you may remember brought Dawn Penn to the Jamm last year, and rocked the carnival weekend with A-skillz and the Freestylers. If you’ve been to a Straycats event you’ll know the good vibes and lively party the crowd always brings.
In short, if you like Reggae, you can’t miss this. If you like a party nothing goes down like a label head’s birthday. If you’re curious about new sounds there’s a world of reggae waiting, and a little Hip Hop and Soul thrown into the mix from True Talk Records, Reality Shock’s subsidiary label. And if you’re fast you can pick up an Early Bird ticket for £10, do it now, you might as well!
